Why Choose Resilience by Tupaia Sailing

Aboard Resilience, every voyage is shaped by a genuine passion for the ocean and a spirit of adventure. Tupaia Sailing was founded by Camille and Vincent, who met in the Tuamotu Archipelago of French Polynesia, where life is deeply connected to the sea. Drawn together by a shared love of spearfishing, snorkeling, kitesurfing, sailing, and exploring remote islands, they built not only a life together but also a vision: to create authentic sailing experiences that connect people with the ocean in a meaningful way.

Today, Resilience reflects who they are—adventurous, welcoming, and deeply respectful of the marine environment. More than a charter yacht, she is a gateway to discovering Fiji from a unique perspective, where secluded anchorages, vibrant reefs, and unforgettable encounters become part of the journey.

The name Tupaia Sailing is inspired by Tupaia, the legendary Polynesian navigator from Raiatea. Long before modern navigation, Tupaia crossed vast stretches of the Pacific using ancestral knowledge of the stars, winds, swells, and currents. In 1769, he joined James Cook’s voyage aboard the Endeavour, helping navigate the Pacific and sharing a remarkable understanding of the ocean and its islands.

His legacy represents far more than navigation—it embodies curiosity, connection, respect, and harmony with the sea. These values continue to inspire every voyage aboard Resilience. Like Tupaia, we believe the ocean is not something to conquer, but something to understand, explore, and appreciate. When you sail with us, you’re not simply booking a charter; you’re joining a journey guided by a love of the ocean, a spirit of discovery, and a commitment to creating authentic experiences that leave lasting memories.

Meet the Crew

Vincent – Captain

Once a pizza chef in Biarritz, Vincent left the kitchen behind in 2020 to chase a lifelong dream: exploring the world by sailboat and searching for the best surf spots.
Since then, he has crossed the Atlantic, explored the Caribbean, transited the Panama Canal, and fulfilled a childhood dream by sailing solo across the Pacific.
He holds a RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certification and is passionate about adventure in all its forms. A snowboarder at heart, he feels equally at home surfing, kitesurfing, or spearfishing.
Knowing his boat inside out, he personally handles all maintenance to ensure comfort and safety are never left to chance.
After two years in French Polynesia, Vincent has now dropped anchor in Fiji and can’t wait to share his favorite anchorages and a few sea stories with you.

Camille, First Mate & Chef

She was born and raised in Cannes, in the south of France, where the sea has always been part of daily life.
After spending years working for a large multinational company, she decided to swap office life and boardrooms for sunsets, anchorages, and life at sea, joining Vincent on his sailing adventure.
Certified in STCW safety and maritime operations, Camille combines professionalism with a genuine love for life onboard. Her passions revolve around the ocean and the outdoors: snorkeling, spearfishing, kitesurfing, hiking… and above all, chocolate (which may or may not be considered essential onboard).
As the yacht’s first crew, Camille makes sure every guest feels at home, well cared for, and free to simply relax and enjoy the journey.
